DEREK RIDDELL
Born and raised in Glasgow, Derek graduated from L.A.M.D.A in 1990 and has worked extensively in theatre and television. Since his first major television role as Alec in the BBC 1 series Strathblair he has played a range of memorable roles including Rab , the repressed gay football obsessive in Channel 4's cult comedy The Book Group, the egocentric Dr. Jamie Patterson in three series of No Angels, Richard Loach in Peter Kosminsky's political drama The Project, Sir Walter Raleigh in BBC 1's The Virgin Queen and most recently Sir Robert McLeish in Doctor Who 'Tooth and Claw'. Soon to start filming State of Mind, a new drama series from Warner Bros and the creators of Nip/Tuck, in Los Angeles, Derek's latest role is as the eponymous Roj Blake in the retooled audio adventures of Blake's 7.
