Robert Carlyle Directs SGU

Actor Robert Carlyle has directed his first episode of Stargate Universe in the opening days of shooting Season 2 at Vancouver's Bridge Studios.

Widely reported round the net, via Gateworld, the good work done by the man who plays Dr Nicholas Rush was tweeted by fellow actor Ming Na. The episode, entitled Pathogen, will be number four in Season Two. One wonders, of course, what particular sensibilities that Robert Carlyle will bring to the script, written by Carl Binder, in his directorial debut.

Of course, Stargate Universe airs on SCI FI April 9, in the blockbuster mid-season return. Episodes will run in Australia one week after the initial airing in the US.

Sci Fi Pi will have lots of updates, articles and interviews in the coming weeks to prepare you for the SGU revolution. Get ready for "aliens, space battles and action"!
