Potentially, the Greatest Vampire Movie in Recorded History

Ok. Go get a helmet.

Got it?

Fine. Now put it on.

Strap it on tightly. It will protect the interior of your room. Because THIS WILL BLOW YOUR MIND.

You know about Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the new book from Seth Grahame-Smith, author of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

What you may not know is that he has sold the film rights. That's awesome. But the awesomeness doesn't end there.

The ultra-super-awesome news is who is going to produce the film. Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov. That's right. The directors of Alice in Wonderland and Wanted are getting together and having a vampire-slaying, civil war-winning, slave-freeing partaaaay.

The news comes via SCI FI Wire and Deadline Hollywood, so we're thinking even though it sounds too good to be true, it is in fact true.

No news or details on the how and when, or whether Timur and Tim may direct the film. We can just cherish this moment, and then dream of what is to come.

First thoughts, of course, go to casting. Who should play Abraham (or "Slaybraham" as IGN are calling him) Lincoln? Johnny Depp? Or is he not tall enough? How about… Richard Jenkins from Six Feet Under? Hmmm... what about... Brian Cranston from Malcolm in the Middle and Breaking Bad? Tall, craggy and lanky - what has Hollywood got for us?

If you've got a good Slaybraham in mind (how about Seth Green? - that'd be hilarious) let us know in the comments below.

Best Sci Fi Death Ever

Out of any show or series, most spectacular, ridiculous, humorous or - heartrending. Spock's death in Wrath of Khan is obviously an excellent starting point.
