SCI FI PI

What's On This Week Nov 23 - 29

It's the last full week of November and the Christmas bells are starting to jingle. Favourite movies of 2009 lists are being compiled (mostly Sci Fi, of course) and the exciting future of 2010 is staring us square in the face. Looking back over 2009 there may have been one or two moments of joy that SCI FI fans might remember, what with the fast tracking of BSG and SGU, SCI FI +2, full widescreen and a slew of new movies, channel premieres and fan-requested shows. There's even more good stuff coming up in December, so as always, stay tuned!

Don't forget to check in our giveaways section, either! Just click WIN and make your day with a double dose of prizes.

For a change of pace, we're going to have a look at what's on in one time slot: 7.30pm.

It's prime-time, family friendly time, and it's high time you said 'hey, 7.30pm - thats SCI FI time!' (or words to that effect).

This week we've got a fabulous line up, starting with Star Trek: Insurrection on Monday night. At 7.30pm.

Tuesday night it's the joy of classic Stargate: SG1, at (you guessed it) 7.30pm.

Wednesday night it's the slightly different flavour of Medium, Season 3, which is really starting to hot up. At 7.30pm.

Thursday night and we're still in the early stages of the Season 2 premiere of Eureka, possibly the most fun to be had watching a Sci Fi show. At 7.30pm.

Friday night it's Stargate: SG1 at 7.30pm (a nice introduction to, of course, Stargate Universe, at 8.30pm).

Saturday night Star Trek weekends are in full swing by 7.30pm, with Star Trek: The Next Generation really starting to cook. Whilst weekdays are the home of Season 4 at 6.30pm, this weekend has the classic Season 2, Saturday night special 'Q Who'.

Sunday night, it's more of the good ST: TNG stuff with Jean-Luc Picard in deadly danger in 'Manhunt' - can he survive the unspeakable onslaught of a Betazoid woman in the middle of her 'phase'? This episode has it all - you've got Majel Barrett-Roddenberry going nuts as Lwaxana Troi, you've got two fish alien ambassadors (one played by Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac) and you've got Picard up to his old tricks again as Dixon Hill in the holodeck. You can't afford to miss this one. When is it on, you ask? Why, 7.30pm, of course!

What Holodeck Program Would YOU Run?

Reg Barclay may have enjoyed his version of Robin Hood, whilst Miles and Julian love a good fight against the Huns in the Battle of Britain and Tom Paris and Harry Kim thrill to the adventures of Captain Proton, but what world would YOU create if you could have you very own Holodeck?
