George Miller Shows Cars, Talks Casting on Mad Max 4

The ABC (of all people) got the scoop and managed an invite to Dr George Miller's studio, where he showed them the first cars to be built for Mad Max 4: Fury Road. He chatted to them about the long and laborious casting process (no names as yet) and the fact that the vehicles are going to take an entire year to build, mainly because of the amount and complexity of the stunts involved.

The shoot is scheduled for 30 weeks, which is absolutely enormous, definitely the longest, biggest production in Australian history. We'll try to keep you updated as much as possible in what will quite possibly be one of Australia's great SF films. Fingers crossed.

Mad Max 4: Fury Road

25 years since the last one, number 4 begins pre-production. Charlize Theron has been discussed as 'Mad Maxine', and new tough guy Tom Hardy (he was in RocknRolla - but you may remember him as Praetor Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis) has also been put forward as the rather surly Mr Max Rockatansky. Before casting gets solidified (and the 30!) weeks of production destroy the roads around Broken Hill, who do YOU think should be MAD MAX?

  This a another Awesome opportunity to discover new Talents who sprung from the action scene of this country, I've heard that actually there was no confirmed names just yet ..only rumors of involvement from Patrick steward who made a allusion to it on a Hollywood interview, now that all been clarify on imdb I was wandering who of the Australian Action Actor panoply will win the legendary role of 'Max Rockatansky', I saw this new action movie just released in the US and Canada called 'Among Dead Men' who was made in Brisbane Australia by a group of independent Filmakers Starring new Ozie Actioner Avelino Lescot, this guy got the perfect profile for it and Raw as Hell. Food For tought Mr Miller
