Costas Mandylor in Oz to Promote Saw VI

Who ordered the hunk of burnin' love? 'Cos it's here.


Whilst Halloween isn't as big here as it is in the US, it's still not a bad excuse for a horror movie. The horror movie franchise that's doing it's best to 'own' Halloween is Saw, with Saw VI scheduled for release October 22. Good luck to you Saw. Go for it.

Melbourne-born hunk Costas Mandylor will be in Sydney today to promote the film and chat about his career that also includes the upcoming Hyenas. Should be revelatory, as his career takes in everything from Mobsters, to Fist of the North Star, to Picket Fences, to Beowulf, to an episode of Charmed.



Saw VI has provided an image that doesn't involve broken, grubby fingernails. Kudos.


In the Saw series, Mandylor plays policeman Mark Hoffman who develops a rather unhealthy relationship with Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) from Saws III to VI. What was once all about just setting up gruesome ways for people to die has now become an ongoing saga where a grand moral experiment is slowly unfolding to reveal a single simple plan (gruesome deaths included!). Mandylor goes from good guy cop to - well, spoiler alert, but it doesn't work out well in the whole 'serve and protect' side of things.
