David Hewlett to have own show, be in Sanctuary

David Hewlett, the actor who plays Dr Rodney McKay on SCI FI's Stargate Atlantis, has hinted at an upcoming appearance on Amanda Tapping's Sanctuary.

In a recent interview, Amanda let it be known that she was keen to get all of her previous Stargate cast members on her show here.

News that Michael Shanks will appear on Sanctuary has been followed by a personal tweet from David Hewlett's Twitterpage:

"Just reading a couple of very interesting Sanctuary scripts... ;-) "

The 'sly wink' sign being a reasonable indicator that we will soon be seeing Hewlett on Sanctuary.



Yes, I'm aware that lightning is destroying the base. I'll get to that later. First - what's with your hair?


In more direct news, a recent interview with Hewlett (to appear in Sci Fi Pi later this month) revealed that he will be writing and starring in a movie/pilot for a possible series that will see him update the classic action comedy Midnight Run, starring Charles Grodin and Robert De Niro, but with a Sci Fi twist.

In a quip, Hewlett asked 'who knew the alien mafia needed their money laundered?'.

The MGM backed project has no specific dates as yet.
