Chicks Dig Tatts

If you think that having a flaming skull tattooed on your bicep is the coolest thing ever, think again...

We've found a website where people who get science-themed tattoos can share them with the world.

Surely, Surely not. Science tattoos?

Hey. People get Wolverine tattoos. If you can imagine it can go on someone's skin, it's probably already there. From a phrase in Portuguese of Isaac Newton: ‘If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants.’” to a 3D perspective abstract view of a gaussian photon, those with a pechant for science and a need for skin ink have got it all.

However, to save you trying to find the very best of the best, here it is:

Joe, the owner of this particular patch of skin, explains what he's got and why he's got it.

“My tattoo is 3 lines of equations, the top is the Born Oppenheimer Approximation, the second line is the equation in the form of a 3-Dimensional Schroedinger Equation, and the solution in the form of a Schroedinger Equation. As a biochemist and molecular biophysicist I studied a lot of this stuff and I must say, Schroedinger was my favorite and well, I had to do it. The ink was done at Red Sky Studios in Tucson, AZ by artist Lisa.”

COLLECTIVE NOUNS

Okay: Everyone loves to hear of a "murder" of crows, or an "exultation" of larks, but what is the collective noun for geeks? Perhaps we should discover it in our postings, yes? A "...." of geeks. A "..." of Sci Fi Fans. A "..." of Stargate Fans. etc and so forth match any show, format, 'flavour' or genre of Sci Fi with the perfect collective noun. Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes!
