Tracking Down Cyberdyne and Tech-Com!

Awesomeness, as we like do say, has never been so awesome.

Most of you are aware (partially thanks to Sci Fi Pi) that the movie Terminator Salvation will soon be showing in theatres, and looks groovy. You may not be aware of a super subtle marketing campaign buidling up on the internet through a small cloud of websites purporting to be (if you'll bear with us) the real-life forerunners or off shoots of the companies depicted in the Terminator films.

Mainly Cyberdyne Systems and Tech-com.

We googled and had a closer look, and found some truly weird doodoo.

There are some more traditional videos and sites, but this is taking the internet to a top level along the lines of the Cloverfield boys.

We doffs our caps and we look amongst the googles for more.

Check it out for yourself! Here's the first one. Looks pretty good, doesn't it. Pretty real?

This is by far the most complex and believable of the sites we've seen and is a perfect and sly intro to the world of Terminator Salvation.

The sheer volume of work that's gone into it isn't readily apparent until you click through links that seem randomly innocuous - and they're backed up with full sites. Hang on... waah? A whole new site?

And here's the South African company that's selling component computer parts - also known as Cyberdyne. Web front or real? Hard to tell!

If you're hard core enough about the Terminator franchise to know about Tech-com, then you'll be amazed to find that there is in fact a response to the google 'tech-com' and the result is:

the work gone into this site is just staggering. There's only one or two hints that's it's not the real deal. And that makes it awesomely awesome. Close looks at pics will give you clues and help you (if you want to) enter the world of Terminator Salvation.
