This week is a little bit special for SCI FI Channel Australia. Not only will be launching a PayTV premiere, but an Australian TV premiere!

The critically acclaimed Dresden Files screens for the very first time on Australian TV, ever, on Monday night at 7.30pm, right here, on SCI FI.

It's time to get excited and embrace a show that takes a practical and hard-headed approach to modern wizardry. Harry Dresden is something of a Harry Potter - if Harry lived in Chicago and was the kind of hard-bitten detective one might find in a Raymond Chandler novel. Harry has a dark gift, and is in fact the object of much toing and froing in the supernatural world - but all he really wants to do is earn a crust and get through the day.

Based on the excellent Harry Dresden books by Jim Butcher (beginning with Storm Front), The Dresden Files also marks a scifitv.com.au first - we will be screening FULL EPISODES EVERY WEEK IN SPECTRUM, right after it airs on SCI FI - along with previews for next week's episode.

It's an exciting time to be a SCI FI Channel fan. In fact, one could say, it's magic!

Oh, and by the way, do make a point of checking out our SEXY NEW SPECTRUM this week. It is so good looking and has so much virtual 3D modelling in it that we held up an iPhone to our testing screen and it just melted in pure techno-jealousy. We've got lots of great trailers, behind the scenes footage, cool games info and an upcoming world exclusive with Milo and Masi from Heroes.

Speaking of which...

This week also sees the second half of our heroic Heroes Marathon!

Get ready to save the cheerleader (and the world!) all through Saturday and Saturday night! Starting from 12.30pm on Saturday the 13, the final eleven episodes of Heroes Season 1 will air, one after the other. And if the weather isn't awful and you'd rather do it at night time, you can start the marathon in our second shift - from 11pm all the way through to 9am on Sunday morning. It's a feast, a gluttonous orgy of Heroes - but all the more worthy the more totally you commit. Get some Sylar level commitment going, and be rewarded.
