This week sees July go out in a blaze of glory and August enter with an even bigger blaze of glory - with Terminator 2: Judgement Day!

Tuesday is practically bursting with goodness, starting off at lunchtime with one of the all-time classic X-Files episodes - 'Musings of Cigarette Smoking Man'. Find out what 'Cancer Man' got up to in his youth, his hopes his dreams, and his evil schemes - all laid bare in one of the most triumphant X-Files episodes. 1pm Tuesday is the time to tune in - and don't forget to enter our massive The X-Files: I Want to Believe competition before it's too late!

Tuesday night wouldn't be the same without a SCI FI Original movie, and this week is something a little bit special. Darklight stars Shiri Appleby from Roswell, David Hewlett from Stargate: Atlantis, Richard Burgi from The Sentinel and John De Lancie (Star Trek's Q).

Appleby plays Liz Parker, who thinks she's an ordinary 24 year old woman. Unluckily for her, she's actually Lilith, a biblical demoness who happens to be Eve's (Adam's Eve) evil twin! Lilith calmed down her murdering after several centuries after she was hypnotized into believing she was normal, but of course, who knew that a mad (and evil) scientist (David Hewlett - yeah!) would create an evil plague-spreading demon in his lab - that can only be stopped by... the demoness Lilith. Oceans of fun!

Darklight screens Tuesday night at 10.20 pm and Wednesday the 30th at 1pm.

The Other SCI FI Original Movie this week is Fortress 2: Re-Entry, which screens on Saturday at 1.30pm and 10.50pm. Christopher Lambert reprises his role as John Brennick, who, after escaping from the original maximum security prison, Fortress, is sent back to prison - but this time there's a twist - the new 'Fortress' is in space! Escape from that you French inmate you! How can you possibly organise a jailbreak from outer space? Find out, with SCI FI!

Sunday mornings now have a twist of action and adventure, with Xena: Warrior Princess, screening form 6.30am till 9am, just the perfect fare for children who insist on waking early and other soul-optional types awake at such an unseemly hour. With three episodes back to back, it's the Lucy Lawless-endorsed way to start the day.

Sunday night though - something a little bit special. August 3, 10.50pm - get ready for a stone-cold classic. Terminator 2: Judgement Day belongs to those rare breed of sequels that are bigger and better than the originals - and James Cameron is in fine form with high octane action, brutal action, humourous action and time-travelling action. See the birth of the modern day CG industry with Robert Patrick's liquid metal Terminator and thrill to the joy of Arnold Schwarzenegger saying the coolest movie lines ever.

"Hasta la vista, baby!"

A great way to start a great month of SCI FI!
