The many Star Treks have as many different flavours as there are in your average well stocked Gelato Bar. When it finally comes to the hazelnut, or perhaps the pistachio of Sci Fi, you'll be wanting the faraway adventures of Star Trek Voyager. If you've never been able to get into it, or have missed too many episodes, July 2008 marks a special time for you, dear SCI FI fan.

Voyager is coming home.

From this Tuesday the 22nd, every weekday will screen the Star Trek Voyager journey, at midday and at 6.30pm, starting with the very first Voyager episode of all, Caretaker Part 1, this Wednesday, and Caretaker Part 2, on Thursday. See how the crew of Voyager ended up 75,000 light years from home, stuck in the suburbs of the Delta Quadrant. Find out what Captain Janeway used to do with her hair, and what got Tom Paris stuck in a penal colony in New Zealand!

Speaking of Bad Boys... for those who enjoy the blood-sucking freak that is David Boreanaz, watch as he turns his real-life nasty habit into an acting goldmine in the tasty role of Angel, vampire detective (and part time Buffy-lover). See what happens in the cauldron of SCI FI's premiere screening of Angel Season 3, with Angel coming up against the evil that is Wolfram & Hart and their evil (beyond evil, like totally evil) senior partners. Every Friday night, from 10.30pm, starting this Friday the 25th, is now Angel Season 3 night, for the foreseeable future.

When we talk abut premieres, we can't forget the goodness of the new SCI FI Originals! The SCI FI originals this week don't disappoint with truly classic collisions of 'not quite' actors and tremendous plots.

First up, this Wednesday night at 10.20pm, Webs. An electrician stumbles on a 'gateway device' (as you do!) and finds a parallel Earth - overrun by mutant spiders! (Dammit). Of course, with the portal open, that means arachno-mutant trouble for our universe - in the form of... a giant Queen Spider. Nice.

Rub your hands together with glee and then clap them together with joy - it stars none other than ex-21 Jump St star, Richard Greico!

Encrypt is the other SCI FI original movie premiere this week, screening on Saturday the 26th at 1.30pm and at 10.50pm. This one's a little less 'freak of the week' - although it does have at its core ex-Melrose Plsce actor, Grant Show - so still a bit 'freak of the week', really. The plot though, is ingenious. With the Earth devastated by cataclysmic weather, and the remaining few humans stuck in an ozone-free environment, a team of soldiers is hired for (what they think is) an art heist - (in a post apocalyptic 2086, people still want fine paintings, it seems) - but they must take on the Encrypt security System, which employs the dastardly killer robot, The Rook, inside an obstacle-filled maze. Luckily they're guided by a holographic Chinese woman, who may in fact eb able to help the save the Earth. Awww yeaaah! You can smell the quality from here!

It's Unmissably schlocktastic, and a great last week for SCI FI July!
