Evil, camera-savvy people at Comic Con are bootlegging trailers (shock!), and film sites like the UK's Filmstalker are showing the world.

So whilst this stuff is still up and hasn't been torn down by reasonably miffed film execs, here's a rather mongy angled look at the holy grail of gamer Sci Fi - a fully magical updated CG version of Tron.

Yes, Tron.

If you don't know Tron (coz it was released in 1982) never mind. The idea is you actually enter the computer game - in our world of 2008, not that much of a stretch. In 1982, it was groundbreaking - the special effects were considered so good they were denied an Academy Award - simply because they used these new things called 'computers' to generate them. The irony of course, almost all of the special effects were painstakingly created using classical methods - thus they hold up really well today. Bruce Boxleitner, Jeff Bridges and David Warner all starred.

For those who do know Tron, enjoy the glory of a dream reborn! Looks like we will have to wait a while for the finished version though, perhaps even till 2010.

Check out the bootleg trailer here.
