After previously posting some cool pics from the upcoming Clone Wars, we thought we'd add to the joy and post some more.
For those who don't have their ear to the ground re: everything Star Wars, The Clone Wars will be released theatrically in Oz in August, and will be a CG animated adventure set during, wait for it, the Clone Wars, so, in the Star Wars mythology, in between the second and third films of the prequel trilogy.
Creator George Lucas has sited Gerry Anderson and The Thunderbirds as his inspiration for the design of the new animated series, which looks to be an evolution from the highly stylized 2D Samurai Jack style of the earlier Clone War TV series. It still looks pretty funky though - Beowulf it ain't.

Take me back to the Oompa Loompa Planet, now!
The film will be the first installment in a series of half hour TV shows, created for the US Cartoon Network.
Lucas has also announced that he is independently financing 100 episodes of The Clone Wars, as well as 100 episodes of a live action TV series based on minor Star Wars characters. So no worries about 'single season' blues there!

God these things are noisy!
The plot of the first one involves Jabba the Hutt's son being kidnapped by a group of renegades, and Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi have to track him down and find out who is controlling this mysterious renegade group. New character Ahsoka Tano comes along as Anakin's padawan. Obi-Wan duels Asajj Ventress, and Anakin finds himself dueling Count Dooku once more. Meanwhile, the Sith plan to instigate a three-way war, including the Hutts.
Sounds like fun.And very much in the style of the 30's Flash Gordon serials, upon which Star Wars is based.

Look, obviously it wasn't me - Jedis don't fart!
