Gamers (and Sci Fi buffs) who live in Brisvegas, make sure you've got your diaries out - GenCon is coming early next month, and is not to be missed.

What is GenCon, oh Newbie? Glad you asked.

It's a very specific kind of convention, aimed primarily at gamers, and has been doing the rounds in the US for quite a few years now (around 40!) It has now evolved into the premier event for anyone playing console and PC games, as well as fans of anime, board games, dice games, collectible card games, miniatures, live action roleplaying and more. Along with a vast supply of every type of gaming, there are guests - and for the inaugural Oz Gen Con, a great double act - Jamie Bamber (Apollo) and James Callis (Baltar) from Battlestar Galactica.

It all starts on Thursday the 3rd at 8am, and goes on through to Sunday the 6th at 8pm. It's four days of gaming and Sci Fi madness, that includes CosPlay, which is the organised costume competition. It'll be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

If you want to get a four day badge, it'll cost you $55 for pre-registration. On the day, it's $66. Daily tickets go for $16.50 booking ahead and $22.00 on the day.

If you want to travel to Brisbane, GenCon has arranged with several local hotels for accommodation.

For full details, check out GenConOz's website, here.

WHO IS THE FIFTH CYLON?

C'mon people. We can figure this one out, can't we? Is it Starbuck? Odds are on. Surely it couldn't be Adama? And what about Roslyn and her 'visions'? And that Gaius Baltar - he HAS to be the fifth Cylon doesn't he? Who has the answer?
