For those who've had a rather nasty shock clicking on our homepage (!) - it's obvious by now that the future of SCI FI is explosive, with the channel premiere of Jericho coming up in mere days. If you haven't seen the damage that a thermonuclear device can do to a homepage, do yourself a favour and mouse over our Jericho Doomsday countdown. But please put down any bowls of cereal, cups of coffee or recently constructed houses of cards before doing so!

This week is the final of May's mammoth month of mystery, with plenty of conundrums to keep SCI FI fans entertained.

One thing to look out for - the relaunch of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Catch it each week Saturday mornings at 10.40am and Sunday nights at 9.10pm. One of the most underrated Sci Fi shows, DS9 has a particularly loyal following and holds up very well - the long story arcs and complex political machinations make this something of a stand out in the Star Trek world, and the later seasons, featuring a no-holds barred intergalactic war, are space opera of the highest order. Catch Commander Benjamin Sisko as he struggles to bring a ruined space station back on line and deal with the living gods that the local Bajorans have called 'The Prophets' for thousands of years. Will he solve the puzzle that is at the heart of his destiny, and perhaps hold the key to life in the entire quadrant? Find out, on Star Trek Deep Space Nine!

Early Sunday nights are also getting a bit spicy with the extremely boringly-named Johnny Smith getting up to some extremely non-boring shenanigans as his brain's 'dead zone' begins to function oddly, and via what is obviously some form of Heisenbergian quantum flux state, he realises he can see into the timelines of other people. Or to put it another way, he touches you or something you own and sees your future. Or your past. It's Stephen King's masterpiece brought to life in one of the highest rating Sci Fi shows ever made.

Anthony Michael Hall and Nicole De Boer star in the Season 3, kicking off this week, you'll find it easy to catch it, as it's airing Sundays at 6.40pm, Mondays at 10.10am, Thursday at 1.50pm and Fridays at 9.20am.

This week's SCI FI mega-movie is the ever-watchable (and interesting to see given what's going on in Indy 4) Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Make a warm and comfortable snuggle on the couch date late on Saturday night or see it lunchtime Sunday.
