Nikko home electronics, at www.nikkor2d2.com, have got this baby on sale all over the world. Their big specialty is radio controlled vehicles and toys, so it's not surprising that the R2 D2 DVD Projector is fully RC - with it's own Millenium Falcon controller!

It's not just a funky toy - it actually works, with 20 W inbuilt speakers, a USB slot, CD player, and it's compatible with Mp3 and Mp4 and Jpeg. It also has a WiFi transmitter for hooking up to other gadgets. Perhaps the coolest thing - you can now watch movies on the ceiling.

Current price in the US is $2900.

If you want in Oz, you have to pay $US3000, but you get free shipping. If that's a bit much, then there's a webcam mini version, which comes in at $400.
