Chris Carter changed the way the world saw science fiction. The debut of Mulder and Scully on 'regular' television brought science fiction into the mainstream forever, and paved the way for such present day hits as Lost and Heroes. It also established a tradition of genre film production in Canada that continues on into the industry powerhouse of today. The twin mountain top of the 'Lionsgate' looks over Vancouver as testament to that.

Shows like Battlestar Galactica and the Stargates have taken the banner and shown the world that it's not just Hollywood that can make great Sci Fi.

Now, ten years after the release of the first feature film that gave a big screen scope to the classic 'mythology' of the series, Carter, David Duchovny and Gllian Anderson are back in X-Files:I Want To Believe, the sequel to the X-Files movie. This one is a stand alone adventure, not linked to the 'mythology' storyline, and has fans of the series very excited for the July 24 Release date.

Will Mully and Sculder finally get it on? There's a good chance. Fan fave (and Stargate star) Mitch Pileggi returns as Walter Skinner, and the film also stars Amanda Peet, and somewhat intriguingly, Billy Connolly.

Will it be the surprise hit of the year? We want to believe!
