Yes. You read that right. Serenity's Captain, Nathan Fillion, will be coming to visit Sydney and Melbourne next week - just in time for Mother's Day. The Hub is responsible for this good thing and are giving away twenty double passes in all to the conventions that feature both Nathan and Ron Glass (Shepherd Book). Details are below. It's another good sign that Sci Fi is not only healthy in Oz, but growing at a rapid rate. If you are a geek, now is the time to let your geek flag fly!

Here's the lowdown from Hub:

Nathan Fillion will lead the list of guests to attend a Firefly/Serenity convention in Australia next week. People attending the event to be held in both Sydney and Melbourne will be treated to question & answer sessions with Nathan and fellow guests Ron Glass and artist Jason Palmer as well as the opportunity to interact with the guests during an exclusive breakfast or lunch and cocktail party (VIP & Platinum tickets only).

Regular Ticket ($110) will get you into all the guest panels and the opportunity to purchase autograph tickets and professional photo opportunities with the guests and browse merchandise for sale.

VIP Tickets ($500) are selling fast and in addition to the above you'll get:

* Exclusive cocktail party with the guests
* One free photo op
* Two free autographs
* Seating in the front two rows
* First in line for photo ops & autographs
* Entry to all the panels

Platinum ticket ($750) only a few left - for the ultimate experience! You'll get:

* Breakfast or Lunch (TBA) with the guests with max. of 20 other people in attendance

The Sydney event will be held Friday Night (9th May - cocktail party for VIPs) and Saturday (10th May) with the Melbourne event taking place on Sunday (11th May including cocktail party for VIPs).
