Shane Abbess, Aussie director of Gabriel, has signed on the dotted line with producer Mark Gordon to direct the Sci Fi thriller, 'Source Code'.
Allegedly dealing with time travel, this is Abbess' first major Hollywood film after shifting to LA on the success of Gabriel.
Mark Gordon is a major Hollywood player, with credits on films like 10,000 BC, Speed, Saving Private Ryan, The Day After Tomorrow and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Species III writer Ben Ripley, is behind the script. Topher Grace (Spider-Man III) was at one stage cast in the lead role, but as yet remains unconfirmed. We'll hopefully be able to get a quote or two from Shane soon and see if we can't get a heads up on a few spoilers for local fans!
