Babylon 5 fans - if you don't already know - here's the heads up - Tracy Scoggins is coming to Australia for a whirlwind tour.
A true fan favourite, who has also worked on Highlander and Lois & Clark (as well as Dante's Cove, Dynasty and an episode of Deep Space Nine!) she has amassed a legion of fans thanks to her sassy, alluring style as the rambunctious Colonel Elizabeth Lochley on the iconic Sci Fi series, Babylon 5.
And now you get to meet her in person.
That's if, of course, you can get to Sydney or Melbourne this weekend. Tracy will be appearing as a guest of Culture Shock events, so she'll be at the Northcote Town Hall in Norhtcote, Victoria, on Saturday the 3rd and at Dooley's Catholic Club in Lidcombe in Sydney on Sunday, May the 4th. Apparently there are some tickets left, so you can get in if you book, and possibly if you show up on the day. Both events start at 11am.
This week sees the beginning of May Mayhem on the SCI FI Channel, with four furious Bat-tastic films every Saturday.
Monday night has all sorts of surprises. First off on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Wesley Crusher makes a return - although, and here's the surprise, in disgrace!
Angel has even bigger surprises at 8.30pm, with Cordelia waking up one morning eight and a half months pregnant! And no, it wasn't gas. A huge twist, in every way, for fans of LA's finest Vampire detective.
Not many people know that Dr Smith, erstwhile loathsome companion of the Robinson family aboard the Jupiter II, was in fact an intergalactic psychologist.
That's why he's the perfect man to help out all our Forum posters with all their troubles, ranging from talkative rebellious carrots to hulking masses of mechanical ignorance. You ask it, he'll answer it - but be prepared for his vicious tongue.

Once, in a lifetime, do geekiness and fashion blend together in the perfect marriage of comfort and dorkiness. Finally, that moment has arrived.
Ladies and gentlemen, we give you 'Beauty and the Geek', designer Erik De Nijs' marriage of fashion and technology. More specifically, the sewing of a soft keyboard into some baggy pants.
However, it comes with all the mod cons, and does, in fact, actually work. They come complete with a joystick 'just behind the zipper' and a mouse. They also have speakers in the knees (of course).
Dark Horizons Takes A Dim View Of Bay's Disinfo For Transformers 2

Dark Horizons has taken rather a dim view at Michael Bay's active disinformation tactics that the director himself revealed in the forums of www.shootfortheedit.com, the official Michael Bay website.
The 'awesome' director has said, that basically everything that you read about Transformers 2 on the internet is a lie.
Here's the good stuff from Dark Horizons:

George Lucas has had his fair share of ups and downs. Looking no further than Star Wars will tell you that. However, locked deep in the 80's is a very special movie, the kind of flop that people only whisper about and only very very few people have ever seen.

It's a week of contrasts, of emotions, of mysteries and of high tension this week on SCI FI.
If you're tuning in Monday (and you are, c'mon!) make sure to take in one of the most fascinating Star Trek:TNG episodes ever. Basically, if you're not a heavy TNG fan, this is one of the most mysterious experiences - because the crew has... changed. For no reason. Why? How? Eventually, of course, all will be revealed, but it's a classic Sci Fi moment, without a doubt, and a heck of an episode. What's it called? Conundrum, of course! Tune in April 21, midday and 6.30pm.

Sony and SCI FI are giving you the chance to score the hottest movie tickets this year in our Iron Man competition.
Iron Man will be opening in theatres in Australia a day before the US on the 1st of May, and looks to be the best superhero movie for a very long, long (long) time, with pre-release buzz white hot on the film's mix of high tech wizardry and cynical charm.
