With last week seeing the introduction of Heroes, there seems to be plenty of positive feedback for our three episode introduction to the show.
Fret not, because season one has twenty more eps to go! If you want to chat and learn more about the ins and outs of modern day genetically advanced humans, be sure to check out our Heroes forum and of course, the Heroes microsite. That's where, of course, you can find out when the next ep is on, and see cool behind-the-scenes footage.
This week sees the SCI FI premiere of The Mothman Prophecies.
Directed by Mark Pellington, this 2002 follow up to 1999's excellent Arlington Rd is one of the finer suspense thrillers ever made, but for some reason has crept under the radar, quite possibly because of the supernatural elements to the story. More probably though, it's because the story is purportedly based on 'actual events'.
There's an eerie chill that runs through the film, and while you'll go into it saying 'pshaw' (if you're one of those 'pshaw' saying types) about people having visions of a 'mothman' that's a harbinger of doom, you'll come out of it a little less sure about the laws of the universe and what the hell is going on when we have a 'bad feeling' about something.
Superbly crafted, with good turns from leads Richard Gere and Laura Linney, this is a film you really want to make time for. If anyone says they can sit through the phone call from "Idrin Cold" without getting creeped out, they're lying.
The Mothman Prophecies screens on Saturday, March 29 at 1.30pm and 11pm.
