With the Oscars looking very similar to your parents' house the day before they came back from holidays after leaving you in charge for two weeks and promising NOT to have any wild parties, the good old Saturn Awards have been chugging along without the fuss and bother that comes with having to get Jon Stewart to host your show.

Celebrating all that is Sci Fi (and genre) on the big screen and the small screen (and at home) over the past year, the Saturn Awards have become, after more than 30 years, the indisputable Sci Fi Oscars. This year (2007) sees strong voting for 300 (10), the latest Harry Potter film (9) and Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd with a surprising 8 nominations.
