Feb 6 is the official release date for possibly one of the greatest genre mishmash crossovers in SCI FI DVD history. Seth MacFarlane's iconic Family Guy series, well known for its movie references and in particular Star Wars jokes, has gone the whole hog and produced an hour long Star Wars episode entitled Blue Harvest.

Hardcore Star Wars fans will be able to tell you that Blue Harvest was the fake name used by George Lucas to throw journos off the scent whilst shooting Revenge, no hang on, Return of the Jedi.

The Family Guy family will be playing all the major parts in the remake of Episode IV:A New Hope. Seems silly to start the story half way through, but what can you do?
Stewie, of course, plays Darth Vader, with Peter as Han Solo, Brian as Chewbacca, Lois as Leia, Quagmire and Cleveland as C3PO and R2 D2 and in one of the great Family Guy in-jokes of all time, Meg appears for about three seconds as the one-eyed trash compactor monster.

The DVD comes loaded with extras (including 3D footage) and an interview with George Lucas - conducted by none other than Seth MacFarlane.

But wait! What's this?

Just when you thought things couldn't get any geekier, check out this pic of Seth MacFarlane appearing in not one but two Season Three episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise - 'Affliction' and 'The Forgotten'!
